  10. Interesting Fact: Have broken 13 bones in my body, but have only thrown up twice

I grew up in the quiet town of Danville located in the East S.F. Bay Area. Played baseball, football, drove a 68’ camaro (when is wasn’t broken), gave my parents grief and lived a fairly normal life. At 18, I set off for UCLA and spent four amazing years obtaining a college education, dropping brain cells, and meeting great friends. I spent a portion of my college career living in Granada Spain where I learned Spanish and first discovered my lust for travel. I graduated near the top of my class and moved down to Newport Beach after graduation. I lived with three animals for two great years. We worked hard in the business world during the week and played hard on the weekends. We were Weekend Warriors. My Saturdays and Sundays consisted of tow-in surfing, sailing, snowboarding, partying and traveling to strange places doing strange things.

Three years after graduating UCLA, I found myself asking “is there more to life than this?” After finding I was not alone in my insatiable thirst for adventure and travels, Eric Paine and I put the feelers out for people interested in a trip of epic proportions. Billy Boyd and Kevin Broderick were the fish who bit that hook. United, the four of us have decided to head out on a quest of knowledge, education, teaching, surfing and living life to its fullest. Doing this means driving from Newport Beach to Chile in what is sure to be a Fantastic Voyage. Incorporating a “Green” form of travel into our adventure (vegetable oil driven truck, bio-foam surfboards, and volunteer partners) will allow us to be low impact to the environment, but also educate people around the world on the advantages to eco-friendly transportation. Although it was hard leaving an amazing girlfriend, a great job, and a comfortable life, there comes a time in a young man’s life when he must say……I don’t give a turkey…..
